Subject	Does anyone know the story behind the "Z" and "ZX"

Message	nomenclatures? Why did it change from Z to ZX? What is the ZX supposed to imply as opposed to the Z? I always just assumed it was laet 70's techno-mindset that made its way into how the car was marketed. Not having much luck finding an answer. Anyone read an article or interview discussing this?
